    Description

NOTE: THIS IS JUST BOTH BODY'S, NO AXLES, WHEELS, or WEIGHTS.
Our engineering improvements to the typical laser cut body are as follows:
    A. the front axle position has been marked with both the BSA block distance (4 3/8") [ two possible setups] and the most used Pro extended distance (4 3/4").
B., We laser cut, but leave attached, a 1/16" strip on the DFW side. This allows a solid fit in your drill fixture while drilling the front axle holes, and if desired can be removed to modify the DFW distance from the rail to get the back wheels centered on the rail.
    C. We ship with most of the wood intact so you can drill without warping the body.
For best results, lightly sand the laser burned and hardened wood before drilling or gluing. DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A WAY TO DRILL YOUR AXLE HOLES.
We recommend a #43 drill bit.
    Typical jigs used for drilling
Leave the 1/16" spar in place to make the body snug in the drill fixture. If too loose, put some tape over the car, if too tight, sand down. You do not want to force the wood into the jig.
Car is marked for both standard BSA , Faster BSA and an extended width that has set world records.
You might mark your choice before you drill to get it right the first time.
You can remove the 1/16" spar where your DFW is loacated after you drill. This will center the back wheels if you are doing a rail rider.
3.5 oz Tungsten Canopy Weight From
TxW is recommended for this car and you may have to drill a larger hole if you use other parts
    1 3/4" x 1 1/4" x 1/4" oval half egg
Stud is 3/8" Diameter, 1/4" high
On a finished car, but wheels & axles & weight
    not included in this item.
These car designs are from TxW canopy bodies now found on eBay
If your car is nice and thin like these examples, you will need more weight to get to 5 oz
Take a look at what we recommend for fast accurate weights. All weights can be placed by removing the 3M cover and sticking to the car body. We have 0.5 oz with two small plates and 9 grams of chips each 3 chips is a gram on 3M tape (you can cut between the chips with scissors easily)
The bottom of a finished canopy car with extra weights installed ( for sale from TxW on eBay, or in this kit).  You can slide the bottom weights to wherever you want for speed and stability and then remove the cover and stick down. Shown here is Max Speed!. Car shows over-weight, but next you would sand and paint and then adjust to the closest 1/3 of a gram very easy-AND you can adjust very easy if your car needs to add or remove weight at check in.
Make sure you measure how much weight is on your front wheel and decide where you want to run. Most canopy cars are very stable.
Data is for both a wedge or a thin plank design.
