Description
To my knowledge these beautiful prints were given to the attendees of a "debut" event for the 458 Speciale connected to the Austin, TX Formula I race in November of 2013. The prints were handed out in a paper "carrying sleeve" to the attendees when they left the venue. I don't know if they were ever offered again by Ferrari outside of this event. Which makes these potentially pretty rare and storied. As an art collector there are a few things about the print that I would alert you to. First, I don't think these were individually hand-signed but instead the signature is "embedded" in the print. Please note, I could be absolutely wrong about this but as a collector I'm very sensitive to being as accurate as possible about art. I really can't make out the exact name in the signature but it looks like Luca (I leave it to you to decipher the last name). Second, the piece is not numbered so I don't know how many exist but my guess is that they were printed special for the event so I doubt there are very many of them out there. Such events are usually pretty limited in attendance since you had to be invited by Ferrari. By the same token please note these are NOT posters but rather I believe very likely offset lithographs. They were done on high quality paper. It "presents" like a beautiful lithograph since you can see the "press marks" on the paper and framed they're absolutely awesome. I know because I had one framed and it looks great (message me if you'd like to see what one looks like framed). This sale however is for an unframed one. The print is 19" x 13".
So if you own a Ferrari 458 Speciale, I think you'll want this for your collection. Or if you're an admirer of the car or the brand again this makes a great piece to have on your walls. And of course if you have a friend that is a Tifosi this would make a great gift.
My intent is to ship it rolled in a 6" tube between sheets of glassine paper (to insure a minimal roll) and the shipping cost in that version is reflected in this posting.
However, I also have the original paper "carrier" sleeve that came with the piece (it was essentially just a bag for the print). If you also want this, it will be far more expensive to ship since it will not roll well and is fairly large. I'm really not sure why you would want this if your intent is to frame the print but its your choice. So message me and I'll get you photos of the "sleeve" and estimates on the additional cost for the shipping of that piece.
