This hand colored glass slide is an ORIGINAL and it is NOT a reproduction. It was created to be projected onto the movie theatre screen before the film was released to promote the "coming attraction". Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.

Plot Summary:
Dick Powell stars as Haven, an army undercover investigator assigned to investigate the murders of two cavalrymen. Travelling incognito, Haven arrives in a small frontier outpost, where saloon singer Charlie controls all illegal activities. After making short work of Charlie's burly henchman, Haven gets a job in her organization biding his time and gathering evidence against the gorgeous crime boss. Cast as a philosophical hotel keeper, Burl Ives is afforded the opportunity to sing a ballad.

More Info on Dick Powell:
Dick Powell was an actor from the 1930s to the 1960s. Some of his movies include: Just Around the Corner, Gold Diggers of 1933, Murder, My Sweet, Footlight Parade, and The Bad and the Beautiful. He was a light romantic musical star in the 1930s (and he released several albums during this period), and then he completely "reinvented" himself in the 1940s, playing tough guys in movies such as "Murder, My Sweet"! He was married to actresses Joan Blondell and June Allyson. He was one of the many actors who died from cancer after filming the 1956 film The Conqueror, which was shot downwind from nuclear weapons testing sites. He passed away in 1963 at the age of 58.

Jane Greer was an actress from the 1940s to the 1990s. She was born Bettejane Greer, and she was billed that way in her early movies. She appeared in some very memorable film noir movies of the 1940s. Some of her movies include: Out of the Past, They Won't Believe Me, and Man of a Thousand Faces. She passed away in 2001 at the age of 76.

Agnes Moorehead was an actress from the 1940s to the 1970s. She appeared in Orson Welles' first two movies (Citizen Kane and The Magnificent Ambersons), and is best remembered today for playing Endora on TV's "Bewitched". Some of her other movies include: Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Magnificent Ambersons (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), and Mrs. Parkington (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film). She passed away in 1974 at the age of 73.

Burl Ives was a star football player in high school, and intended to become a football coach, but he didn't complete college, and he had learned the banjo, and he bummed around the country doing odd jobs and street singing in the 1930s! He became a successful folk singer in the 1940s, and was cast as a singing cowboy in "Smoky" in 1946, billed as "The Singing Troubador", and he alternated between folk singing and acting for the rest of his life. He is likely best remembered for playing the role of "Big Daddy" in the movie version of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", and for his best supporting Oscar winning role in "The Big Country". He was also the voice of Sam the Snowman in the classic children's Christmas movie, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". Ives passed away in 1995 at the age of 85.

Raymond Burr was an actor from the 1940s to the 1990s. He is best remembered for his long-running role as TV's "Perry Mason", but he had important roles in two very memorable film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters (the 1956 U.S. version) and Rear Window (in a memorable role as Thorwald, the man who may or may not have killed his wife and buried her in the courtyard). Burr passed away in 1993 at the age of 76.
