This hand colored glass slide is an ORIGINAL and it is NOT a reproduction. It was created to be projected onto the movie theatre screen before the film was released to promote the "coming attraction". Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.

Plot Summary:
A former Texas lawman, Shadrach Jones (William Elliott) sets out to discover who killed his brother and stole their combined savings. While at the saloon run by the beautiful Adelaide (Marie Windsor), Jones becomes convinced that the thieving murderer is one of a group of cowboys on a cattle drive led by Captain MacKellar (Walter Brennan). Determined to find justice, Jones joins the cattle drive and slowly gets closer to uncovering the identity of the killer.
Trivia
:
The entire Arizona to Montana cattle drive was filmed entirely on the Republic back lot using process photography rear projection involving stock footage and newly photographed second unit background scenes.

More Info on Wild Bill Elliott:
William 'Wild Bill' Elliott was an actor from the 1920s to the 1950s and was best known for his work in B-westerns, but he appeared in some A-movies as well, including Gold Diggers of 1933, 'G' Men, Gold Diggers of 1935, Platinum Blonde, and Dangerous. He was initially billed as Gordon Elliott, but his first starring role was in "The Great Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok" from 1938, and he played Hickok in several other movies, and once he became identified with Wild Bill Hickok, he changed his stage name to Wild Bill Elliott.

Walter Brennan was a great character actor from the 1920s to the 1970s. Amazingly, it took him many years to get beyond playing uncredited roles! He had served in World War I (and supposedly he was exposed to mustard gas, which damaged his vocal chords and caused his distinctive voice!), and then he moved to Los Angeles where he speculated on real estate and made a fortune. But then he went broke, and he turned to movie acting in 1925, where he met struggling actor Gary Cooper, and the two became great friends, trying to get roles at the same time. But unlike Cooper, who became a major star, Brennan spent almost a decade playing very minor roles (often uncredited). In 1932, he had an accident while filming a movie, losing most of his teeth after an actor kicked his face, and from that point on, he played people much older than himself, often hillbillies! But he finally had a major role in Come and Get It (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) in 1936, and he had major success from then on. Some of his roles include: Kentucky (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), The Westerner (winner of the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Red River, Bride of Frankenstein, and My Darling Clementine. He appeared in several movies with Gary Cooper, including Sergeant York (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film) and Meet John Doe. He had much fame later in life as the star of TV's "The Real McCoys". Brennan passed away in 1974 at the age of 80.

Marie Windsor was an actress from the 1940s to the 1990s. Some of her movies include: The Killing, The Narrow Margin, Force of Evil, as well as scores of "bad girls" in 1940s and 1950s films. She passed away in 2000 at the age of 80.

Harry Morgan was a long time character actor who appeared in many movies, but had great success in TV (first in December Bride, then in Dragnet, and finally in M*A*S*H as Col. Potter). He was born Harry Bratsberg, but used the name "Henry Morgan" until the early 1960s, when the comedian/game show panelist of the same name became famous, and then, to avoid confusion, he was first billed as "Henry 'Harry' Morgan" and later as "Harry Morgan". One of his very best movie appearances was in 1949's "Holiday Affair", where he has a wonderful cameo as an intrusive police lieutenant with Robert Mitchum, Janet Leigh, and Wendell Corey! Morgan passed away in 2011 at the age of 96.

Yakima Canutt was a stuntman, director, actor, and rodeo rider from the 1910s to the 1970s. Canutt worked closely with John Wayne, doubling as his stuntman and also teaching him how to do his own stunts. Some of his movies include: Hidden Valley Outlaws, Shadows on the Sage, and Gone With the Wind. When he was in charge of the stunts on a movie, he was called the "second unit director". His son, Joe Canutt became a major stuntman as well, and his dad directed his stunts in Ben-Hur in 1959, including those in the famous chariot race. He passed away in 1986 at the age of 90.
